Each stave and barrel head retain the unique grain and patina character of the original bourbon barrel, ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike. As with all of our products, these are made from bourbon barrels that have been cleaned, sanded, and finished to retain the beautiful markings you find on the barrels.  There may be knicks, scratches, and distillery marks that will vary from barrel to barrel and are a direct result of a bourbon barrel’s life in a brickhouse and distillery.  On the backside, the loose char is scraped and lightly sanded, then a protective finish is applied to encapsulate the charred surface but still retain the character.  Each item shown is hand crafted and unique, so item purchased may slightly differ from photos shown.
